Course Information:
The only course specifically written for the revised Key Stage 3 Northern
Ireland curriculum for English from 2007.
NI Key Stage 3 English has been written to support pupils and teachers
working to meet the requirements of the revised curriculum for Northern
Ireland.
Pupil’s Books
- Offer clear structure of differentiated study
and progression throughout Key Stage 3 to meet the needs of pupils
as they improve their skills in studying and using the English language
- Aim to motivate young learners by offering culturally
relevant stimuli and materials expertly devised around current thinking
and good practice

and skills of language learners
- Texts have been selected to include spoken, illustrated,
moving image and multi-media materials, as well as the conventional
printed text
- Pupils are encouraged to see the purposes and audiences
for language, and the differences between the genre and form of texts
- Opportunities have been created to investigate
how new technologies can act as a powerful medium for communication
and a useful tool for creating new texts, presenting ideas and carrying
out research
