Advice on downloading material from this website:

You can download, print and save any files within this website for personal/classroom use. Please note that all the material included in these files is copyrighted to Hodder Arnold and is not for further distribution without the permission of the publishers.

How to download pdf files:

Get Acrobat
Adobe® Portable Document Format (PDF) is an open de facto standard for electronic document distribution worldwide. To view the worksheets, notes and answers which are pdf files, you will need Adobe Acrobat, or Adobe Acrobat Reader installed, which is available to download for free.

Just click the yellow button on the left to visit the Adobe site where you can download Adobe Acrobat Reader. This is quick, free and easy to do and you will only have to do it once. If you are using a school computer, you may wish to check with your school IT department first.

Using standard Adobe settings, you can browse through the worksheets, notes etc. Please note that depending on the time of day and your connection to the Internet, it may take several minutes to download some of the files. If your screen freezes, please check if your school computers have an automatic cut off time. You may see just a white screen for a couple of minutes but the files should be downloading even though you cannot see anything happening.

Advice on downloading Word files:

You will need a Microsoft Word package installed on your computer in order to download any Word files. You can download a Word file and then go to the File menu in the top left hand corner and choose 'Save As' to save your own copy onto your own computer which you can then edit, customise and print off whenever you wish.

Advice on accessing password protected Teacher Resources:

In order to access restricted areas of the site e.g. to access Teacher Resources, you need to purchase the resource first. You can place your purchase order of a Teacher's Resource using the methods described in 'How to Order'. On receipt of your order, we will send you a letter with your unique username and password. Then go to the relevant subject category in this website eg. 'English' and find the webpage with details of the coursebook and you will see a red Teacher's Resource log-in box.

(Note: If you cannot see the loginbox you need to check if your computer and browser supports Java applets. This is free from Java.)

Enter your username and password details in the log-in box to access the downloadable files. Make sure that you only type lower case characters and check if a character is the number '0' or the letter 'o'.

Should you have any problems or questions regarding the downloading of these files, or related procedures, please do not hesitate to email the webmaster: amy.moulden@hodder.co.uk
